The Central Canada Veterinary Association, also referred to as the CCVA, was founded by veterinarians in
the National Capital Region of Canada in 1903. The CCVA is the longest-standing local veterinary
association in Canada comprised of veterinarians from eastern Ontario and western Quebec. In 2023,
the CCVA is celebrating 120 years of activity.
The CCVA’s mandate is the advancement of the veterinary profession. The association strives to
provide quality continuing education to its members. In addition, the association offers organized
social and professional interactions for veterinarians, their team members, and industry partners in the
region. The CCVA has strong representation regarding local issues within the veterinary profession and
shares this with the provincial and national associations.
